Our GMs oversee day to day operations, set goals for growth and design a strategy to achieve those goals. This person is responsible for building and leading their team/store to success. The main goal for a General Manager is to lead their crew in a positive and professional environment, to ensure exceptional customer service is given with each visit, and to ensure the custard served meets the highest standards. Andy's believes in an excellent work-life balance, a clean family-friendly atmosphere, a fun experience with no fryers or grills, and the opportunity to grow with our company. Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day store operations and drive growth strategy.
Build and lead a strong team to achieve store goals; foster a positive and professional environment.
Ensure exceptional customer service and high standards of product quality.
Communicate effectively with store staff; manage inquiries by email and phone with timely responses.
Maintain composure during high-volume periods to keep operations at standard.
Train, coach, and develop team members; lead by example in a fast-paced environment.
Monitor staffing levels, including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and training oversight.
Adhere to Andy's policies and procedures; uphold the culture, values, and mission.
Physically able to work all shifts up front; this is not an office role.
Demonstrate reliability, energy, and a proactive leadership approach.
Ensure open availability, including late nights, weekends, and some holidays.
Job Requirements
Must have 3-5 years of proven management experience in the food service industry or related leadership role
Experience in store operations management and fostering a ownership mentality
Mentor and promote promotion opportunities for assistant managers
Effective communication with store team and external stakeholders
Ability to remain calm during peak periods and maintain standards
Strong service orientation and accountability for customer experiences
Operate with integrity, honesty, and alignment with company culture
Manage staffing, interviewing, recruiting, onboarding, and training oversight
Follow and reinforce company policies and procedures
Willingness to work hands-on in all front-of-house roles
Friendly, enthusiastic, and energetic demeanor
Lead by example with high operational standards
Must have reliable transportation
Full-time availability, including late nights, weekends, and some holidays
High school diploma or equivalent required
Solid employment history with positive references
Physical Requirements
Constant standing and walking
Occasional pushing, pulling, lifting, or carrying up to 55 pounds
Occasional climbing stairs, ladders, and ramps
Constant computer, point-of-sale, and equipment usage
Frequent wrist and spine movement
Constant reaching and precision work around fountain area
Constant talking and communication
Clear vision at near and far distances
Ability to work outside in various weather conditions
