We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Office Manager/Human Resources Specialist to support our growing team. This full-time on-site role reports to the CEO and is based in Los Gatos, CA. Supira Medical, a clinical-stage Shifamed Portfolio Company, is developing a low-profile, high continuous flow percutaneous ventricular assist device (pVAD) for temporary mechanical circulatory support in HRPCI procedures and in patients with cardiogenic shock. Office Operations: Oversee daily office activities, ensure policy compliance, manage office supplies and vendor relationships, and act as primary contact for office logistics, visitors, and external partners. Human Resources & Payroll: Lead onboarding, administer benefits, process payroll through Sequoia One (PEO), ensure compliance with federal/state/local regulations, respond to payroll/benefits inquiries, maintain HRIS and personnel files, and oversee credentialing-related compliance. Employee Experience & Culture: Plan internal events, foster a positive work environment, and serve as a resource for employee requests. Administrative Support: Provide high-level support to executive leadership, including the CEO, as needed. Education & Work Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). 3–5 years of experience in office management, HR, or administrative roles; startup experience preferred in life sciences or manufacturing. Experience with onboarding, benefits administration, employee relations, and HR processes; familiarity with payroll systems and benefits platforms; experience with a PEO is a plus. Proficiency in MS Office Suite; highly organized with strong time management, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities; excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to handle confidential information with professionalism. Note: Our salary ranges are calculated by role, level, and location and include equity and benefits.
