Job Summary
As an Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our warehouse by performing maintenance and repairs on various equipment. Your expertise will help create a safe and efficient working environment, where you will maintain schedules for equipment upkeep and assist in repairs when necessary.
We are currently hiring for the 2nd shift: 1:00pm - 9:30pm.
Job Description
Experience Required: 3 to 5 years, with a flexible schedule to accommodate all shifts, including weekends, holidays, and required overtime.
Experience Desired: Two years as a Material Handling Equipment Mechanic; Two years in Building and Equipment Maintenance; Knowledge of Distribution Center operations.
Education Desired: High school diploma or equivalent.
Certification or Licensing Required: Valid Driver's License.
Lifting Requirement: Up to 100 pounds.
Travel Required: None.
Age Requirement: At least 18 years of age.
Job Responsibilities
Prioritize safety in all aspects of work.
Repair and conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and cranes.
Conduct visual inspections and tests on machinery and powered equipment using electrical and electronic testing equipment and hand tools.
Detect malfunctions and diagnose problems by listening to and observing the operation of machines and equipment.
Install, program, and repair automated machinery and equipment.
Design and improve machine parts, jigs, fixtures, and tools for better efficiency.
Maintain and repair building facilities and grounds using hand and power tools, hoists, and cranes.
Have experience working with 220 and 480 volt circuits.
Clean and lubricate machinery parts using appropriate tools and equipment.
Repair and replace gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment as necessary.
Utilize cutting torch and welding equipment to cut or join metal parts effectively.
Assemble, install, and maintain hydraulic and pneumatic piping systems and related equipment.
Maintain a clean and organized work area.
Engage in remodeling and new construction projects for existing facilities.
Read and understand blueprints, wiring schematics, and technical manuals.
Keep detailed records of tasks performed regarding preventative maintenance, diagnostics, and repairs conducted on equipment.
Perform other related duties as assigned.
