Responsibilities
Circulate among guests and/or employees to preserve safety, maintain order, and protect venue property.
Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, guests, and other persons to guard against theft and ensure safety.
Write reports of daily activities and irregularities such as equipment or property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons, or unusual occurrences.
Patrol premises to prevent and detect signs of intrusion and ensure security of doors, windows, and gates.
Escort or drive motor vehicle to transport individuals to specified locations or to provide personal protection.
Operate detecting devices to screen individuals and prevent passage of prohibited articles into restricted areas.
Participate in the venue’s sustainability program and educate fans about ongoing efforts.
Assist with end-of-show processes to close the venue and manage post-event security and equipment handling as applicable.
Warn persons of rule infractions or violations and apprehend or evict violators from premises.
Qualifications
New York State license/certification
High school diploma or equivalent experience required
Security/Law Enforcement experience preferred
Good working knowledge of security operations, safety practices in a business environment, and enforcement procedures
Professional demeanor and appearance; ability to make independent, good judgment decisions within policy
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Strong sense of teamwork and ability to execute programs
Must be available for 80% of events (nights and weekends)
Ability to stand for long periods; position requires walking, climbing stairs, lifting and carrying 50 lbs+ and occasional sitting
Compensation $16.50 USD - $18.70 USD Hourly
Pay is based on factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
