Job Description:
We’re looking for a
creative, resourceful, and well-connected Events Manager
based in Washington D.C. to lead the planning and execution of our signature event, the MatzoBall. This is a
contract position
with the potential for future gigs based on performance and fit. As our Events Manager, you'll be in charge of everything from finding the perfect venue to making sure the party runs smoothly from start to finish. You’ll work closely with our team to bring high-energy, purpose-driven events to life. Key Responsibilities
Source, scout, and secure event venues that match our vibe and audience Coordinate all event logistics (timeline, setup, vendors, permits if needed) Liaise with vendors, venue staff, and team to ensure a seamless experience Oversee event setup and on-site execution Assist in event promotion, especially with local networks and partners Serve as the on-site point person for day‑of coordination Ensure guest experience is on point—fun, organized, and unforgettable Qualifications
Proven experience planning and managing events (social, nightlife, community, or similar) Strong local knowledge of venues and vendors in the D.C. area Excellent organizational and communication skills Ability to work independently and under pressure Must be available for event dates and prep in the weeks leading up Comfortable working with a Jewish singles audience and understanding the cultural vibe Compensation
