Job Summary and Responsibilities: The CLS PD performs a variety of technical analyses, verifies results and assures quality and accuracy of tests under the direction of the Laboratory Supervisor(s), Laboratory Manager(s), Laboratory Administrative Director, and Laboratory Medical Director (Pathologist).

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science from an accredited institution
Current California Clinical Laboratory Scientist or Clinical Laboratory Technologist license
Ability to demonstrate a familiarity and understanding of medical terminology, typing, math and computer skills
Requires one (1) year of training post baccalaureate
Preferred Qualifications
Two (2) years working in a laboratory setting
Co-op or internship experience in a laboratory setting or prior acute care experience
Degree majoring in Clinical Lab Science

The hospital\'s heart attack treatment times consistently beat the national average, and the hospital offers two cardiac catheterization labs available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Groundbreaking cardiac procedures at Dominican include the Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) procedure, which allows for heart valve replacement without opening a patient\'s chest.
Dominican Hospital has forged significant partnerships with area hospitals to bring exceptional care to Santa Cruz County. The hospital offers a level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) through a partnership with Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital Stanford. Neurosurgery at Dominican is also offered through a partnership with Stanford Health Care.
