Territory Account Manager (NorCal) – Pulmonx Corporation
We are seeking a Territory Account Manager to join our sales team supporting the Northern California Territory. This is an opportunity for early‑career sales professionals to gain mentorship in a dynamic medical device sales environment. The role requires living in Sacramento, the San Francisco Bay Area, or another Northern California location.
Travel This position requires approximately 75% overnight travel (average 3‑4 overnights per week), depending on business needs.
What You’ll Do
Increase appropriate utilization of the Zephyr Valve in assigned accounts.
Support HCP education via roundtables and educational meetings.
Collaborate with referring physicians, nurse coordinators, and interventional pulmonologists to review StratX Report results in BLVR meetings to assess patient eligibility.
Maintain regular communication with Therapy Awareness Specialists to track progress of educational efforts and close the loop with physicians.
Clarify patient selection criteria and share success stories to boost awareness of Zephyr Valve benefits.
Own and drive utilization gains in mature accounts through direct engagement and strategic sales efforts.
Ensure all StratX Reports have appropriate notes and documentation (attribution).
Assist with case coverage, reinforcing product adoption within existing accounts.
Maintain a high level of daily activity, completing a minimum of four meaningful face‑to‑face HCP calls per day.
Provide extended case coverage support and follow up with physicians about Zephyr Valves.
Promote ancillary product sales to enhance stickiness within established accounts.
Teach existing accounts best practices to improve StratX‑to‑case conversion rates and reduce median time.
Encourage post‑procedural communication to physicians on patient outcomes.
Submit weekly and monthly reports as defined by the Regional Business Director to track activity and performance.
Document all relevant activities—in Salesforce CRM—including cases, sales calls, BLVR meetings, and StratX Report attribution.
Support regional initiatives such as RT events, PES, and other COPD educational events.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree from a four‑year college or university, or equivalent education and relevant experience.
Minimum 1–3 years of field sales experience.
Preferred experience interacting with medical staff in clinical and hospital settings.
Dynamic, customer‑focused with strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
Passion for customers, patients, and product, supported by strong relationships and closing skills.
Strong work ethic, high energy, drive, and personal integrity based on a strong value system.
Compensation Base + Variable compensation up to $165,000 at plan.
