Overview The Quality Director will lead the Quality organization to ensure the consistent delivery of safe, compliant, and high-performing products. This role is a key member of the leadership team and is responsible for maintaining quality systems, regulatory compliance, product testing, data integrity, and continuous improvement across the enterprise.

Base pay range $125,000.00/yr - $145,000.00/yr

Primary Responsibilities

Leadership & Department Oversight

Lead, train, and mentor Quality Control staff to ensure consistent and compliant product testing and release.

Oversee development, validation, and maintenance of QC test methods and product specifications.

Collaborate with R&D and Operations to support scalable manufacturing and New Product Development (NPD).

Participate in operational reviews, planning meetings, and cross-functional quality discussions.

Foster a positive, collaborative, safety-focused work environment.

Quality Systems & Regulatory Compliance

Implement and maintain Quality Systems aligned with

GLP, cGMP, ISO, and MoCRA

standards.

Oversee the Quality Management System (QMS), including:

Document control

Non-conformance investigations

CAPA management

Internal audits

Support regulatory and customer audits, ensuring readiness and compliance.

QMS / ERP & Data Management

Serve as the Quality lead for ERP system configuration and ongoing utilization.

Ensure alignment between Quality, Production, Inventory, and Supply Chain workflows.

Manage electronic quality workflows (batch release, material disposition, NC/CAPA tracking).

Use ERP reporting tools to monitor KPIs, analyze trends, and support management reviews.

Lead initiatives to digitize batch records, QC forms, and traceability documentation.

Strategic & Continuous Improvement

Develop departmental goals, performance metrics, and resource plans.

Drive continuous improvement in product quality, operational efficiency, and compliance.

Promote proactive issue resolution and structured risk management practices.

Bachelor’s degree in

Chemistry, Biochemistry, Food Science , or related technical field

(required) .

7+ years

of experience in Quality Control or Quality Assurance leadership in cosmetics, personal care, pharmaceutical, chemical, or other regulated manufacturing environments.

Hands-on experience with

GLP, cGMP, ISO , and

MoCRA

compliance.

Strong experience with ERP systems (NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar).

Experience implementing or managing electronic quality records and traceability systems.

Experience with QMS software (e.g., UniPoint, MasterControl, ETQ, or similar).

Strong leadership skills with the ability to develop and guide teams.

Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration abilities.

Analytical problem-solving skills with sound judgment and decision-making.

Ability to balance speed, product quality, and risk management.

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.).

Positive, approachable, and able to maintain perspective in a fast-paced environment.
