Application deadline: Jan 14, 2026. The Analytics ADC team is at the forefront of delivering AWS Analytics cloud services to customers in isolated, air-gapped cloud environments. We are focused on expanding Analytics services across air-gapped regions, driving automation, and delivering open-source solutions. We build massively scalable distributed systems and deliver the next generation of cloud computing with AWS offerings like Athena, Lake Formation, Redshift, OpenSearch, Glue, QuickSight, and Agentic IA services.

Role and Responsibilities

Be an innovator building solutions and working with Amazon's government customers to address needs across Analytics services in air-gapped environments.

Drive the resolution of technical issues and work to improve the customer experience.

Work cross-functionally to foster constructive dialogue, harmonize discordant views, and lead resolution of contentious issues.

Love to code and solve problems using Java, Python, or other languages; apply software development methodologies and select the right tool for the job.

Think big by building and deploying solutions across ADC partitions and regions; strive to improve and streamline processes for large-scale impact.

Develop, build, and operate AWS Agentic AI services that enable customers to optimize their data, including services running in air-gapped regions.

As a Systems Development Engineer I You Will

Work cross-functionally to foster dialogue, harmonize views, and lead resolution of contentious issues.

Code and build tools in Java or solve complex system problems in Python; apply software development best practices.

Think big and deploy solutions across thousands of devices, aiming to improve and scale processes.

Required Qualifications

Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure.

Experience programming with at least one modern language (Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust).

Experience with Linux/Unix.

Current, active US Government Security Clearance of TS/SCI with Polygraph.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and build processes.

Compensation and Benefits The base pay range for this position is listed below. Salary for hourly roles includes applicable shift differential. Details vary by location and role type.

Colorado: $99,100 - $160,000 annually/hourly. Final compensation based on experience, qualifications, and location. Benefits include health insurance, 401(k) matching, paid time off, parental leave, and more. Learn more at amazon.jobs/benefits.
