EV Charging Field Service Electrician

responsible for onsite repair and maintenance of EV charging stations in a specific geographic region, including site safety, electrical system maintenance/repair, site field reports, and other duties as required to maintain and operate the site within contractual requirements. This role must be able to work independently with little to no supervision and will work in the field under various conditions. Your Impact

This position is focused on on-site repair and maintenance of EV charging infrastructure, ensuring reliable operation and adherence to contractual requirements. Core Responsibilities

Perform OEM testing, troubleshooting, repairs, and upgrades/ revisions to a broad range of equipment, from Level 2 EV chargers to DC Fast Chargers. Perform testing on equipment, including insulation testing (megger testing), thermal imagery, torque tests, and performance evaluations. Troubleshoot system performance issues and locate/isolate ground faults. Work with Planning and Scheduling to ensure maintenance schedules are followed and work orders are completed accurately and on time. Review site manuals and drawings to ensure proper service and maintenance of equipment. In-field electrical and mechanical preventive and corrective maintenance of site equipment, site field reporting, and work order completion as needed. Document all site issues in the work order system and address them in a timely manner. Core Experience

Electrical – Certified Electrician (Journeyman level) from a relevant state (REQUIRED). 2+ years of equivalent experience in servicing electrical power equipment in the commercial or utility energy field and/or formal electrical training. Strong electrical, electronic, and mechanical troubleshooting skills. Technical knowledge of EV chargers, solar power installations, or related power electronics is preferred but not required. Experience using a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) to generate, track, and complete site work requirements. Strong Microsoft Office skills. Ability to analyze and resolve problems independently with a high level of results orientation. Physical/Work Environment

Work in all elements, depending on location and season (heat, cold, rain, snow). Work around high voltages and currents. Wear PPE, including hard hat and safety glasses. Repetitive use of legs, arms, hands, and fingers. Conduct site safety assessments and identify hazards; generate and complete JHA, LOTO, and other safety documentation per OSHA and site requirements. Compensation

Pay Range: $23.00 - $40.00 hourly/DOE. This range reflects pay equity and compliance with laws. Actual compensation is influenced by factors including skill set, experience, and location. In addition to wages, employees may be eligible for bonuses, stipends, a company vehicle, per diem, or other compensation. Comprehensive benefits include health and life insurance, 401k with employer match, paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and professional development. Base pay range: $23 USD - $40 USD.
