This role is with the Defense Sector, Integrated Mission Solutions (IMS) in Warner Robins, GA, supporting Independent Research and Development (IRAD) programs as part of the Software Engineering Team. The position focuses on designing and developing mobile and embedded software on a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Your Responsibilities Will Include
Develop, modify, and maintain software using software engineering best practices and standards.
Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements development, modeling and design, software development, unit to CSCI testing, integration, formal system testing, release, installation, and maintenance.
Apply technical expertise and leadership in solving complex integration problems.
Interact with Program Management, external suppliers, and government customers; strong verbal, written, and interpersonal skills are essential.
Basic Qualifications
Must have 12 years of direct relevant experience with HS Diploma/GED
Or a minimum of 8 years of direct relevant experience with a B.S. degree; minimum 6 years with a Masters degree; minimum 4 years with a PhD
Proficient in Python, C++, or Java
Proficient in all areas of the formal software lifecycle process from requirements to testing
Experience developing mobile applications (Android OS/Windows)
Experience developing and deploying Linux systems on FPGA platforms with embedded ARM cores
General embedded software development (register manipulation, resource management, debugging)
Experience with Ethernet networking
Highly motivated self-starters able to operate in a fast-paced team environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must currently hold or be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
B.S. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related STEM field
Working knowledge of Electronic Warfare principles
Experience leading cross-functional engineering teams
Experience with Tactical Assault Kit development
Experience with Cursor on Target messaging
Experience with Class 1 and 2 UAV integration
Experience in Agile environments on cross-functional Scrum teams focused on quality and capability delivery
Experience interfacing with customers and stakeholders
Experience with digital signal processing and radar principles
Active Secret Security Clearance
Compensation and Benefits Primary Level Salary Range: $118,600.00 - $178,000.00
The above salary range is a general guideline. Offers consider scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, skills, and market conditions. Additional compensation may include overtime, shift differential, discretionary bonuses, and long-term incentives. Benefits include health insurance, life and disability insurance, savings plan, holidays and PTO.
