Position Overview Are you a visionary leader with a passion for uncovering deep consumer insights and driving strategic decisions? As the Vice President of Insights at Mastercard, you will be at the forefront of innovation, leading a talented team to explore and implement cutting‑edge research methodologies. Your insights will shape the future of our products and marketing strategies, ensuring Mastercard remains a leader in the payments industry.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Thinking: Key contributor to the development and expansion of Brand Health – providing research, measurement and points of view on strategies.

Contribute to delivering exceptional outcomes, achieving short- and long-term revenue goals and building usage of our Brand tracking capabilities in the markets. Act as subject matter expert within Brand Tracking, collaborating with stakeholders across integrated marketing and communications.

Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of market research professionals, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.

Strategic Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive market research strategies to support business goals.

Data Analysis: Oversee collection, analysis, and interpretation of market data to provide actionable insights.

Consumer Insights: Identify and analyze consumer trends, behaviors, and preferences to inform product development and marketing strategies.

Reporting: Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership and stakeholders in a clear and compelling manner.

Collaboration: Work closely with cross‑functional teams, including marketing, product development, and sales, to ensure alignment and integration of insights.

Vendor Management: Manage relationships with external research vendors and partners to ensure high‑quality deliverables.

Innovation: Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to continuously improve research methodologies and tools.

Cutting‑Edge Techniques: Identify, explore, and implement cutting‑edge techniques in the insights field to ensure our research approaches remain at the forefront of industry standards. Champion the use of advanced analytics, AI, and machine learning to uncover deeper insights and drive strategic decision‑making.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Market Research, Business, Statistics, or a related field; Master’s degree preferred.

Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in market research, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.

Skills: Strong analytical skills, excellent communication and presentation abilities, and proficiency in market research tools and software.

Leadership: Proven track record of leading and developing high‑performing teams.

Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of market research methodologies and consumer insights.

Strong knowledge of brand evaluation and effectiveness measures: Expertise in applying solutions to real‑world challenges and leading global brand studies.

Thought Leadership: Evidence of a clear understanding of the brand and media landscape, with a point of view to support and generate thought leadership and content creation. Experience presenting at events or via webinars.

Leveraging foresights, insights, and trends: Clear and demonstrable experience in driving game‑changing points of view and evolution for brand and business opportunities.

Proven experience applying advanced research methodologies and innovative insight techniques, including artificial intelligence, neuroscience, and machine learning.

Enabling actionable insights: Clear and demonstrable experience in generating actionable insights that have led to positive outcomes, driving new products and business growth.

Proven and relied‑on business partner: Recognized for reliability and partnership in business.

Experience in both B2C and B2B businesses: Understands and has worked on both business‑to‑consumer and business‑to‑business models.

Cultivates collaboration and partnership: Creates a culture of learning and action through collaboration and partnership.
