Responsibilities: Designs, develops, modifies and evaluates FPGA blocks for electronic equipment, or other hardware systems and/or electrical engineering applications. Determines design approaches and parameters. Simulates and/or verifies FPGA designs to ensure proper functionality. Supports implementation of FPGA designs including synthesis, timing, placement, routing, and power analysis. Analyzes design to establish operating data, conducts experimental tests and evaluates results. Selects components and equipment based on analysis of specifications and reliability. May also review vendor capability to support product development. Requirements: Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or other equivalent field of study is required 5+ years of FPGA design and electrical engineering experience is required Experience designing FPGAs, digital design of IC, or ASIC. Experienced with AMD/ Xilinx, Vivado Design Suite, and Zynq Experience with simulation to support verification of above applications, including UVM and constrained random techniques. Experienced implementing video subsystems in FPGA design Preferred Qualifications: Medical Device experience is strongly preferred Familiarity with requirements driven safety critical government regulated industries such as medical or aerospace / defense. Experience with digital design implementation including synthesis, timing, placement, routing, and power analysis
