Director, Subcontracting Manufacturing - Anywhere in Texas

Role overview: The Director for Subcontracting Manufacturing will oversee subcontracting manufacturing operations with a focus on BU Quay & Horizontal products across the AME Region. The position will drive the establishment of supply operations in the United States and build subcontracting partnerships for crane structures, module assemblies and installations, including related procurement and material management functions. Key Responsibilities

Develop and implement subcontracting manufacturing strategies that align with company goals. Build and manage a team of professionals to support strategy execution. Manage subcontractor relationships, ensuring compliance with contractual agreements and quality standards. Develop, establish and ramp up new subcontracting concepts as dictated by business requirements and strategy. Establish, ramp up and direct full-scale subcontractor-based crane structure fabrication, module assembly and installation operations in the US, including operations management, purchasing & material management, logistics, trade compliance and quality control procedures. Lead negotiations with subcontractors to optimize productivity, manufacturing costs, delivery timelines and production capabilities while maintaining high quality standards. Develop, monitor and analyze production performance metrics and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-BU supply chain, procurement and engineering teams to ensure seamless integration of subcontracted manufacturing processes. Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, reduce waste and improve quality. Develop improvement and investment plans with subcontractors to drive productivity and meet long-term cost and capability targets. Ensure adherence to safety regulations and standards across all subcontracting manufacturing operations. Prepare and present reports on subcontracting manufacturing activities to senior management. Stay updated with industry trends and technological advancements to drive innovation in subcontracting manufacturing processes. Qualifications

Master's degree in Engineering or related field Minimum of 10 years of experience in manufacturing management, preferably in the crane or heavy machinery industry, with a focus on subcontracting operations Proven leadership in multicultural environments Strong negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills and collaboration in cross-functional teams Ability to analyze complex data and make informed decisions Knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control and supply chain management Familiarity with safety regulations and applicable standards in manufacturing Fluent English Proficiency in relevant software and tools for manufacturing management Benefits
