What you will be doing
As a Power Integrity Engineer within our Digital Data Networks Business Unit, you will play a key role in simulating, developing, implementing, and verifying the power integrity of our innovative power solution portfolio. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of engineers to design, validate, scale, deploy, and support cutting-edge data center power solutions. The ideal candidate will turn ambiguous requirements into precise, highly constrained solutions with a strong background in Signal Integrity (SI) and Power Integrity (PI) design, exceptional simulation and lab measurement skills, and proven experience in designing and manufacturing power products. Responsibilities
Design, validate, and characterize power conversion and delivery systems for large compute infrastructure Develop power distribution products, such as cables, connectors, and bus bars, for 800+V, 20+kA server racks and data center applications Create simulation models, plan and execute simulation suites Correlate simulation results with measured lab data to validate models Work with vendors to specify, procure, and validate new designs Measure and characterize AC response, parasitics, and impedance of the power products Identify and resolve electrical issues by performing hands-on testing, debugging, and root cause analysis Prepare detailed documentation and reports to support product development and validation Drive high-value development projects that require leadership and collaboration with large groups Manage technical collaboration with customers and align internal development efforts to meet technical and functional requirements Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or equivalent experience Experience with electrical design tools and software such as Ansys Q3D, Spice, Allegro, PowerDC Typically 10 years of electrical engineering experience and 5+ years in power conversion and distribution Knowledge of voltage converter architectures Familiarity with High Voltage and 3-phase electrical systems is a plus Experience with test equipment to measure eye diagrams (network analyzer, oscilloscope, signal generator, etc.) Strong self-motivation and ability to take initiative with limited direction Ability to communicate technical concepts to diverse audiences Ability to build relationships with external customers, industry leaders, and internal teams across geographies Willingness to travel 25%–30% of the time About TE Connectivity TE Connectivity is a global industrial technology leader creating a safer, sustainable, productive, and connected future. • Competitive base salary commensurate with experience: $141,400 – $212,000 (subject to change depending on location) • Total Compensation = Base Salary + Incentive(s) + Benefits Benefits
