Position Overview

The Biology Department is seeking candidates to fill part-time instructor positions with expertise in Microbiology and Bacteriology. We welcome applications from those qualified to teach introductory, intermediate, and advanced courses.

We seek adjunct faculty committed to teaching and working with our multicultural student population, teaching courses as needed at the undergraduate/graduate level.

Teach in-person specialty classes populated by students majoring in the following areas: Biology, Health Sciences, Nursing.

Responsibilities Teaching in-person specialty classes in microbiology and related biology courses as needed for undergraduate and graduate students.

Required Skills, Knowledge, and Abilities Required Qualifications

Master’s degree in a biological science.

Demonstrated commitment to undergraduate instruction and to mentoring students.

Preferred Qualifications

Experience teaching introductory biology and advanced courses including microbiology lecture and laboratory.

Experience with nontraditional students and with an ethnically diverse student population

Environmental Conditions Teaching/instruction is performed in a traditional classroom setting.
