Industry Insurance Type Privately Held About the Role We are looking for a dynamic Vice President of Financial Reporting to join our team. This key leadership role involves the meticulous preparation and review of financial statements on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, ensuring compliance with IFRS, GAAP, and other pertinent standards. You will coordinate statutory financial reports for regulatory compliance, analyze financial results to highlight trends and discrepancies, and ensure the accuracy of reinsurance transactions associated with life reinsurance contracts. As the AVP, you will spearhead the month-end and year-end closing processes, prepare insightful internal management reports, and provide valuable financial insights that support our senior leadership's decision-making. We aim to attract candidates with a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, with a strong preference for professional certifications such as CPA or CFA. Your experience should include at least 5 years in financial reporting or accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a managerial capacity, ideally within the reinsurance or insurance sector. A comprehensive understanding of IFRS, GAAP, and regulatory reporting requirements is essential. Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills are imperative for success in this role. Proficiency in financial systems and reporting tools is essential, as is experience handling life reinsurance contracts and transactions.
