Pearson Virtual Schools (PVS) is seeking a Senior Product Manager to lead our Identity & Access Management (IAM) program as a domain expert and individual contributor. This remote-friendly role focuses on enterprise identity solutions, platform modernization, and cross-functional influence across engineering, architecture, security, and design. The ideal candidate blends technical depth in identity management and cloud architecture with strong product management skills, and is passionate about innovation in the software development lifecycle, including AI and intelligent agents to enhance product development and user experiences. This is a remote-friendly position with a preference for working hours aligned to U.S. Eastern Time. Base pay range: $135,000.00/yr - $175,000.00/yr Responsibilities

Strategic Vision & Roadmaps: Develop and own the product strategy and multi-year roadmap for the PVS Identity & Access Management program, aligning with platform modernization goals. Define phased milestones and communicate the vision to stakeholders and team members. Identity & Access Management: Guide the IAM program to build a next-generation solution for PVS, including a unified identity service for students, caretakers, teachers, and administrators. Implement modern authentication/authorization protocols (OAuth 2.0/OIDC, SAML), SSO, and robust user lifecycle management with emphasis on security, privacy, user experience, and compliance (e.g., FERPA, GDPR). Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead cross-functional teams (engineering, architecture, security, UX/UI, business stakeholders) through influence and thought leadership in the absence of direct managerial authority. Product Development Lifecycle Innovation: Champion the use of generative AI and agent-driven tools to enhance product discovery, market research, requirements gathering, coding, testing, and analytics. Execution & Delivery: Manage end-to-end delivery from concept through launch and iteration. Write roadmaps and PRDs, define features and acceptance criteria with Agile teams, and maintain a groomed backlog for IAM workstreams. Prioritize features by impact, value, and effort; ensure on-time delivery and adapt plans as needed. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with Product Vertical leaders, Program/Project Managers, and executives. Present progress, challenges, and next steps; act as the voice of the customer and business to drive improvements in user experience, efficiency, and platform capabilities. Technical Depth & Decision-Making: Use a strong technical background to understand identity management systems, authentication flows, and cloud architecture. Make informed trade-offs with architects and engineers to support the product vision. Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Stay current on IAM, security, and AI/ML trends. Identify opportunities to adopt new technologies, such as passwordless authentication or AI-driven anomaly detection, and pilot AI agents to support authentication monitoring or policy recommendations. Measurement & Accountability: Define KPIs and success metrics (e.g., authentication success rates, login-related support tickets, onboarding time) and use data to inform decisions and demonstrate program value. Mentoring and Leadership (Individual Contributor): Although not a manager, mentor junior product managers and product owners, share expertise, and promote best practices in product management and AI adoption within the SDLC. Required Qualifications

Experience: 8+ years in product management, with multiple years in platform or technical product management. Track record of end-to-end delivery, ideally including IAM-related products; ability to influence cross-functional teams without direct authority. Domain Expertise: Deep knowledge of IAM principles, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, directory services, identity providers, and lifecycle management; familiarity with FERPA and GDPR compliance. Technical Acumen: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS preferred) and modern architectures (microservices, APIs, event-driven design). Ability to understand AI/ML concepts and apply them to products. Leadership & Collaboration: Strong cross-functional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management. Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with engineering on user stories, backlog prioritization, and sprint planning. Innovation Mindset: Demonstrated interest or experience in generative AI, automation, and intelligent agents; track record of driving innovation. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field; MBA or advanced degree is a plus. Equivalent professional experience may substitute for formal education. Preferred Qualifications

IDAM experience across design, implementation, and scaling for SaaS platforms, with emphasis on security and regulatory requirements (FERPA, GDPR). EdTech and Data Standards: Experience in education technology or data-driven industries; familiarity with standards like Ed-Fi or LTI is a plus. AI/ML Projects: Direct experience with AI-enabled product features or AI-enabled product management processes. Cloud & Security Certifications: Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS, CIPP, CISSP) indicating data protection expertise. Leadership in Matrix Organizations: Experience influencing senior leadership across multiple teams in a matrix structure. If you’re excited about building the identity backbone of a next-generation online learning platform and thrive at the intersection of technology innovation and product strategy, apply to help shape PVS’s future. Compensation details are influenced by location and experience. This position is remote, with pay range described above, and eligibility for annual incentive programs. Applications will be accepted through November 7, 2025. This window may be extended depending on business needs. Who We Are
