Position Summary: Are you ready to lead the charge in transforming our infrastructure? As a Principal, Systems and Infrastructure Engineer at Walmart/VIZIO, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining scalable and secure infrastructure. This is a unique opportunity to drive the migration and modernization of critical applications and systems, ensuring seamless transitions and minimal downtime.
What You’ll Do
Lead the migration of applications and databases from AWS to Azure.
Architect and implement Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform.
Drive containerization of applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
Develop automation scripts in Python and Bash.
Design and implement CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions.
Build tooling for compliance validation and inventory tracking.
Provide Linux system administration and performance tuning.
Collaborate with development, security, and IT teams.
Maintain comprehensive documentation for all systems and processes.
Mentor team members and contribute to design discussions and code reviews.
What You’ll Bring
Extensive experience with AWS and Azure services.
Proficiency in Terraform for scalable IaC solutions.
Strong skills in Python and Bash scripting.
Expertise in Linux system administration and optimization.
Proven track record with CI/CD pipelines, preferably GitHub Actions.

Excellent documentation skills.
Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
Eagerness to mentor and share knowledge.
Effective communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, or related area and 5 years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
Option 2: 7 years’ experience in systems and infrastructure engineering or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company.
Preferred Qualifications
Certification in Security+, GISF, CISSP, CCSP, or GSEC.
Master’s degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 3 years’ experience leading information security or cybersecurity projects.
Knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, accessibility best practices, and inclusive digital experiences.
Experience joining Walmart’s accessibility standards and guidelines in product development.
