About The Position CT Technologist Profession: CT Technologist Specialty: Computed Tomography Duration: 12 weeks Shift: 12-hour Day Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years License: Yes Certifications: BLS, Certified CT Technologist - ARRT (CT), Certified Radiologic Technologist - ARRT (R) Must-Have: Must have BLS certification. Must be a Certified CT Technologist by ARRT. Must be a Certified Radiologic Technologist by ARRT. Description: Profiles will go directly to the unit for an interview. Candidates may not have been directly employed by any facility associated with this position within the past year. Candidates who were employed through outside firms will be considered. Call outs are strongly discouraged and may lead to termination. May be asked to precept as needed by the unit. There is a slight possibility that the technologist may need to float to another facility if the position is backfilled and their skills are needed. The department averages 10 CT scans and 5-7 X-rays per day. Common types of imaging performed include typical ER exams. The department uses Fuji PACS and has a MEDITECH EMR system. Department specific equipment includes GE 16 slice Optima 520 and GE Prodius X-ray room. Technologists are required to start IVs for outpatients. Shifts are rotational with weekend requirements every other weekend. No call or standby requirements are needed. Scrubs will be black and are provided. Cancellation policy allows for up to 4 shifts to be canceled per 13-week assignment. This position does not require an in-house radiologist. The environment is an acute care setting.
