This is a full-time, on-site role located in Buffalo, NY, for a Chief Development Officer. The Chief Development Officer will lead the development and implementation of sustainable fundraising strategies to support organizational goals. Key responsibilities include managing planned and annual giving programs, cultivating philanthropic partnerships, overseeing budgeting for development activities, and driving strategic planning initiatives. The role involves collaborating closely with senior leadership, staff, and external stakeholders to achieve impactful growth. Qualifications
Proficiency in Planned Giving and Annual Giving, with a proven ability to execute programs effectively. Experience with Philanthropy, including cultivating and maintaining donor relationships to expand fundraising efforts. Advanced skills in Strategic Planning and Budgeting to align development strategies with organizational goals. Strong leadership and communication abilities to engage diverse stakeholders and drive results. Familiarity with nonprofit management and a commitment to the mission of serving youth in the community. Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Nonprofit Management, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred. Experience in a similar senior leadership role is highly advantageous.
