We're seeking a Lead Cloud Engineer to join a high-impact technology team driving cloud-native transformation within the financial services space. This is a hands-on leadership role with a clear path toward engineering management. You'll play a pivotal role in shaping cloud strategy, driving automation, and embedding reliability across distributed systems. Responsibilities
Architect and implement scalable, secure cloud-native solutions (Azure-centric) Champion site reliability engineering and DevSecOps principles Automate infrastructure using Terraform, Chef, Puppet, and CI/CD pipelines Collaborate with DevOps, platform, and architecture teams to deliver cloud solutions Drive cloud governance through policy-as-code and compliance automation Monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize for cost and efficiency Mentor engineers and foster a culture of innovation and continuous learning Ideal Candidate Profile
7-10 years in IT, with 5+ years in cloud engineering (Azure preferred) Strong experience with IaC, automation, and cloud-native services (AKS, EventHub, App Services, etc.) Background in SRE, distributed systems monitoring, and cloud operations Proficiency in Python, Ruby, or similar scripting languages Familiarity with Agile, trunk-based development, and CI/CD tooling Excellent communication and leadership skills Must be based in the Dallas area and open to hybrid work Bonus Experience
Exposure to GCP or AWS alongside Azure Experience in consumer banking or financial services Passion for mentoring and leading engineering teams Seniority level
