About the Role
The Company is in search of a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join their executive team. The CFO will be responsible for a wide range of core finance and administrative functions, with a focus on mission-centered work in the healthcare and social services sector. This includes overseeing all day-to-day accounting operations, leading cash flow planning, and ensuring compliance with nonprofit and healthcare funding requirements. The successful candidate will also be tasked with building and maintaining strong internal controls, leading annual audits and tax filings, and developing financial strategies that align with the organization's mission and funding realities.
Applicants for the CFO position at the company should be hands-on, detail-oriented finance leaders with a calm and diplomatic approach, capable of building trust with various stakeholders. The role requires a strong communicator who can explain financial concepts clearly to non-finance individuals and is decisive, proactive, and solutions-focused. A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field is required, with an MBA and/or CPA strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of progressive financial leadership experience, particularly in a complex nonprofit environment with a focus on healthcare, behavioral health, or human services funding. Deep knowledge of government funding and reimbursement, as well as experience in managing audits, Board reporting, budgets, and cash flow for a multi-program organization, is essential.
