Optomi, in partnership with a rapidly growing AI and cloud-based technology start-up, is seeking a Hardware Product Manager. In this role, you will support the development, validation, and deployment of next-generation video computing hardware that powers cloud-connected and on-premise software systems.


You’ll work closely with a senior hardware leader to execute tactical product initiatives, validate hardware performance across environments, and ensure seamless integration with the company’s software and cloud platforms. This is an ideal position for a junior to mid-level product manager with a strong foundation in hardware and a desire to grow under experienced mentorship in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.


Responsibilities of the right candidate:


Hardware Validation & Testing

  • Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to test, validate, and qualify hardware components for product releases.
  • Support evaluation of hardware compatibility across public and private cloud environments.
  • Assist in developing validation processes for server and video hardware systems.

Product Execution & Coordination

  • Work cross-functionally with Sales, QA, and Software Product Management to ensure smooth product integration and delivery.
  • Support lifecycle activities including version testing, release documentation, and product configuration management.
  • Manage day-to-day hardware product operations, ensuring key milestones and deliverables are met.

Market & Competitive Research

  • Conduct ongoing market and competitive analysis to identify trends, new technologies, and potential improvements.
  • Provide insights to senior leadership to inform roadmap decisions and strategic planning.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with senior hardware leadership to define product priorities and areas of focus.
  • Communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders to support alignment and progress tracking.

Continuous Improvement

  • Contribute to process optimization within product validation, testing, and release management.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities to enhance product scalability and performance.


Qualifications of the right candidate:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
  • 3–5 years of professional experience, ideally in hardware product management, hardware validation, or systems integration.
  • Hands-on familiarity with servers, computing hardware, or related video systems preferred.
  • Exposure to start-up or fast-paced technology environments is highly desirable.
  • General understanding of hardware components, networking, and system interoperability.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (public and/or private) and video or AI systems is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Self-starter who is proactive, adaptable, and eager to learn.
