Job Title: Temporary Litigation Secretary

Location: Walnut Creek, CA

Job Type: Full-Time | Contract | Hybrid (3 days onsite)

Duration: 3-6 weeks

Pay Rate: $28-$35/hour DOE

Start Date: ASAP

Adams & Martin Group is assisting a well-regarded law firm in Walnut Creek with an immediate need for a Temporary Litigation Secretary. This is a great opportunity to support a small, collegial East Bay firm known for its collaborative environment and engaging work.

The ideal candidate will have at least four years of general civil litigation experience and be available to start right away. This role offers a hybrid schedule with three days onsite and two remote.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support attorneys with deadline tracking and case management
  • Assemble and organize discovery materials
  • Prepare and file documents in California State Court (Federal Court experience is a plus but not required)
  • Draft and manage motions, pleadings, and calendaring
  • Serve legal documents and manage general correspondence and emails
  • Utilize Microsoft Office Suite for document preparation and communication

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 4 years of litigation secretary experience
  • Strong understanding of civil litigation procedures
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
