Position Overview: The CFO will be a flexible and forward-thinking leader who synthesizes information to drive planning and decision-making across the organization. Collaborating closely with the Executive Team, the CFO will apply strategic financial expertise to shape policy, funding priorities, and growth opportunities. We seek a seasoned professional with experience in non-profit finance and excellent relationship-building skills that support our mission. Key Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership:
Advise senior management on financial matters, refine forecasting systems, and contribute to organizational goals. Finance Oversight:
Ensure the production of timely, accurate financial reports and oversee the annual budget process, ensuring compliance with accounting policies. Operations Management:
Manage IT functions, oversee physical infrastructure, and lead administrative functions to ensure excellent service. Team Development:
Set performance goals, conduct evaluations, promote a high-performance culture, and ensure staff training. Qualifications: A genuine commitment to our mission and experience with youth in foster care. Bachelor’s degree required; an advanced degree in finance or business preferred. Seven years of progressive finance experience, including five years in leadership roles overseeing budgets over $10 million. Strong communication skills to convey financial data clearly to diverse audiences. Solid understanding of grant management and nonprofit accounting standards.
