About The Position

Job Description

Medix is currently seeking

three

experienced

MRI Technologists

travel clinicians to join an integrated health system's imaging team. This position will primarily support the

inpatient hospital

location, with occasional coverage required at the nearby outpatient sites. As an MRI Technologist, you will be responsible for operating advanced magnetic resonance imaging equipment and providing high-quality diagnostic scans. Due to the high volume of complex cases, experience with patient critical care tasks and specialized imaging is essential. Location:

Ohio Radiology/X-Ray License is not required. (See requirements section) Pay:

Hours Per Week:

Shift Options:

Flexible scheduling available. Can accommodate

five 8-hour days

or

four 10-hour days , Monday-Friday. Day Shifts:

Start between 6:30 AM - 7:00 AM.

Evening Shifts:

Start between 9:30 AM - 10:00 AM.

Weekend Shifts:

Weekend shifts are available. The facility is

open to hiring a candidate for weekend-only coverage .

Key Responsibilities

Patient Care & Procedures:

Prepare the work area by powering on the machines and troubleshooting as necessary. Position the patient and prepare all necessary materials, including contrast agents and i-STAT for blood work.

Venipuncture & Contrast:

Responsible for starting

IV injections for contrast . Experience and comfort with performing

Venipuncture is required .

Imaging and Pathology:

Perform 10-15 scans during a 10-hour shift. Main patient types include

cardiac

studies, with additional volume in brain, spine, breast, and orthopedic imaging.

Technical Expertise:

Required to have proven experience with

patient positioning ,

MR safety protocols ,

IV contrast administration , and a deep understanding of the

physics of the MRI machine .

Equipment:

Operate

Siemens Era 1.5T

and

Siemens Avanto 1.5T

machines (at 3 locations) and the

Siemens Verio 3T

machine (at a standalone location).

Documentation & Communication:

Utilize

EPIC

for charting patient signs/symptoms, history, and documenting contrast usage/dosage. Responsible for handling 10-20 daily calls regarding registration, pre-approval for implant/pacemaker patients, and physician order verification.

Certification:

ARRT certification

(national certification) is

required . Candidates certified through

ARMRIT

will also be considered. Licensure:

An Ohio-specific radiology/x-ray license is

NOT

required for this role.

Skills:

Must be proficient and comfortable with performing

Venipuncture

and administering

IV Contrast .

EMR:

Experience with

EPIC

is required for self-charting and documentation.
