About the Role
The Talent Development Manager will be instrumental in executing our talent management strategy. Reporting to the VP, Talent Experience Director, this leader will oversee essential activities, including succession planning, talent reviews, skills assessments, and enterprise-wide talent initiatives. They will lead a team of Talent Planning Specialists to ensure a consistent and impactful approach to talent development throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Talent Management & Planning
Execute succession planning, talent reviews, and skills assessments to enhance workforce readiness and leadership growth.
Collaborate with business leaders and HR partners to identify high-potential talent and create tailored development pathways.
Manage and enhance talent planning frameworks, aligning them with organizational goals and future workforce needs.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and nurture a team of Talent Planning Specialists, offering guidance, coaching, and professional development.
Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and excellence within the team.
Work closely with HR, Learning & Development, and Talent Acquisition teams to provide a seamless talent experience.
Data-Driven Decision Making
Leverage talent data and analytics to inform strategies and measure program effectiveness.
Deliver insights to senior leadership regarding talent pipeline health, workforce trends, and skills gaps.
Continuously evaluate and enhance talent management processes for efficiency and impact.
Strategic Initiatives & Innovation

Collaborate with The Academy @ Wintrust to align learning solutions with talent development needs. Qualifications & Experience 5+ years of experience in talent management, organizational development, or HR-related roles. Demonstrated experience leading succession planning, talent reviews, or workforce planning initiatives. Strong leadership and people management skills with a proven track record of leading a team. Data-driven mindset and experience using analytics to inform decisions. Exceptional stakeholder management and communication skills. Experience in financial services or a highly regulated industry is a plus. Compensation The estimated salary range for this role is $98,000 - $132,000, with eligibility for an annual bonus.
