Diversified Safety Services is seeking an experienced
full-time, on-site Safety Engineer
to lead and oversee safety efforts on upcoming large-scale construction projects. These projects vary in scope and complexity, requiring a proven safety leader who can adapt to dynamic environments while ensuring the highest standards of safety and compliance.
Key Responsibilities Champion Safety Culture:
Prepare, implement, and enforce health and safety policies that promote a proactive, zero-incident jobsite culture. Lead Safety Programs:
Develop, manage, and continuously improve site-specific safety programs, plans, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs). Monitor & Report:
Conduct audits, inspections, and field observations; track safety metrics, document findings, and prepare reports. Identify & Control Hazards:
Anticipate and mitigate risks, ensure corrective actions are implemented, and verify effectiveness. Drive Engagement:
Lead toolbox talks, safety meetings, and training sessions to maintain awareness and accountability among all site personnel. Collaborate Effectively:
Partner with clients, general contractors, and project teams to align on safety priorities and compliance requirements. Investigate & Improve:
Lead accident, incident, and near-miss investigations, ensuring documentation and follow-up of corrective measures. Oversee Site Operations:
Supervise subcontractor activities to ensure compliance with EHS expectations. Maintain Documentation:
Manage all safety records, reports, and correspondence with accuracy and timeliness.
Qualifications Minimum 5
years of construction safety experience
(new construction preferred). Demonstrated success
managing safety programs as the lead professional , including oversight of other safety staff. Strong expertise in
hazard identification, risk mitigation, and program-level safety management . Proven ability to handle project-level
safety administration, reporting, and documentation . Experience on
complex, high-security, or Airport Authority projects
preferred. ASP, CHST, or equivalent certification
preferred. Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
