The Position

We're hiring a Vice President of Marketing to own the full marketing function and drive measurable impact across brand, demand, and team performance. This is a high-visibility leadership role for a hands-on strategist who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can balance big-picture vision with flawless execution.

You'll indirectly oversee TRUNO's presence at 60+ annual in-person events (our annual user's conference, 30+ trade shows, plus many annual retailer's charity golf tournament fundraisers), product marketing for 5 key software products, digital channels, brand integrity, and a small but mighty marketing team.

Key Responsibilities

Event Portfolio Leadership

Plan, execute, and optimize participation in the TRUNO annual user's conference and 30+ trade shows annually.

Negotiate booth space, sponsorships, and partnerships; manage budgets, timelines, and on-site teams.

Design experiential activations that generate leads, strengthen relationships, and elevate brand perception.

Product Marketing (5 Core Software Products)

Own and execute go-to-market strategies for launches, updates, and lifecycle campaigns across 5 flagship products.

Develop positioning, messaging frameworks, sales enablement tools, and competitive battlecards.

Partner with Product Management to translate features into customer value stories.

Drive adoption, upsell/cross-sell, and retention through targeted campaigns and in-app messaging.

Brand & Creative Direction

Own brand positioning, visual identity, messaging, and campaign creative across all channels.

Ensure consistent, premium execution from website to swag to social content.

Digital & Content Engine

Manage website strategy, UX, SEO/SEM, and performance.

Direct social media strategy (organic + paid) across LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, etc.

Oversee content calendar, video production, blogs, case studies, and thought leadership.

Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and grow a lean marketing team (1-2 direct reports).

Set clear goals, delegate effectively, and foster a culture of creativity and accountability.

Strategy & Alignment

Develop and execute annual marketing plans tied to revenue targets.

Partner with Sales, Product, and Executive Leadership to align initiatives.

Present quarterly board-level updates on pipeline contribution, product adoption, brand health, and ROI.

Analytics & Optimization

Establish KPIs, dashboards, and attribution models (Google Analytics, CRM, event ROI, product usage telemetry).

Continuously test, iterate, and scale high-performing channels.

Qualifications

Required

10+ years of progressive marketing experience; 5+ years in a leadership role (Director/VP).

Proven track record scaling B2B or B2C brands through events, digital, and product marketing.

Hands-on experience managing trade shows, sponsorships, and field events.

Product marketing expertise - launched or grown software/SaaS products with clear positioning and revenue impact.

Expertise in digital marketing (SEO, PPC, social, email, marketing automation, CRM).

Strong analytical horsepower - comfortable with Excel, UTM tracking, funnel metrics, and product telemetry.

Exceptional communication skills: can distill complex strategies into compelling stories for executives, teams, and customers.

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or related field.

Preferred

Experience in Retail Technology or adjacent space.

Agency or startup background (nimble, resourceful, wears many hats).

You'll Thrive Here If You

Love "getting your hands dirty" as much as building strategy in the boardroom.

Can toggle between creative vision, product storytelling, and spreadsheet rigor.

Lead with empathy but hold the bar high.

Get energy from turning chaos (30 events + 5 products) into a well-oiled machine.
