INflow Federal is seeking a Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will contribute to the DoD warfighter mission through your passion for technology. Job Responsibilities Handles outage and maintenance tickets servicing more than 20,000 users through onsite and remote troubleshooting assistance for layer 1–3 issues, hardware installations of new and upgraded routers, switches, COMSEC/TACLANES, McAfee intrusion prevention systems, Aruba wireless controllers, Riverbed Steelhead WANX’s, device configurations and reconfigurations, and LAN/WAN outage recovery Troubleshooting outages and resolve network related issues Local element for COMSEC – given briefings on troubleshooting TACLANES, trained to re-key the TACLANES Install and upgrade network devices and components. This includes switches, routers, and network monitoring devices Understand, implement, and follow processes in accordance with current policies and procedures. Performed escalation and additional tasks as directed Investigate, resolve, document, and report the cause and corrective actions in the Incident Management System for all incidents assigned by the Service Desk Skills Knowledgeable engineer in the field of Ethernet and IP data engineering with 4 plus years’ experience as a Network Technician Requires a high level of project coordination skills to manage the execution of maintenance activities and network outages Fundamental understanding of the OSI Model is required Experience with operational support and configuration of network devices such as servers, routers, switches, associated software tools, and cabling in a large LAN/MAN/BAN/WAN environment Knowledge of network protocols such as OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP is a plus Knowledge and experience working with wireless technologies, VPNs, IPS, and WAN Accelerators and associated technologies are highly desirable Team-oriented with Network Technicians and Engineers Excellent written and oral communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and a proactive, customer-service mindset; ability to problem-solve and troubleshoot with servers and Cisco devices is a plus Requirements 4 years of IT experience Bachelor’s Degree (or additional 2 years of experience) Hands-on experience configuring and installing Cisco routers and switches COMSEC experience (strongly preferred) CompTIA Security+ CE Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Clearance Requirements Minimum of a DOD Secret clearance is required to perform in this position About INflow Federal Founded in 2013, INflow Federal is a mission-driven small business delivering solutions in Network Modernization, Cybersecurity, and Data Modernization to support Joint Force operations across 20+ states.
