We are seeking a skilled

CNC Applications Engineer

to develop, optimize, and standardize machining processes across multi-axis CNC equipment. This role bridges engineering and production, ensuring complex parts are manufactured efficiently, repeatably, and to the highest quality standards. You will collaborate closely with programmers, machinists, and leadership teams to implement automation, reduce setup times, and enhance process documentation. Responsibilities

Develop and optimize CNC programs for 3-, 4-, and 5-axis mills, mill-turns, and lathes using Mastercam or other CAM software. Create setup sheets, tooling layouts, and standard work instructions for consistent, repeatable production. Evaluate and implement new tooling, work holding, probing, and automation strategies to improve throughput and accuracy. Troubleshoot machining challenges related to tool wear, chatter, dimensional variations, and cycle time inefficiencies. Conduct time studies, process capability analyses, and root cause investigations. Support new product introductions (NPI) in collaboration with design and quality teams. Train and mentor setup personnel on best practices and advanced machining techniques. Provide technical support during machine installations, runoffs, and customer audits. Qualifications

5+ years of CNC machining or programming experience (multi-axis preferred). Strong proficiency in CAM software and G-code programming (Fanuc & Siemens). In-depth understanding of cutting tool technology, feeds/speeds, and work holding design. Experience in high-mix, low-volume manufacturing environments (aerospace or medical preferred). Working knowledge of GD&T (ASME Y14.5) and AS9100D quality systems. Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills. Preferred

Experience with automation, pallet systems, or lights-out machining (bar feeders, robot integration, etc.). Familiarity with probing macros, tool life management, and in-process verification systems (Blum, Renishaw, etc.). Why Join Us
