As a Senior Backend Engineer at Lumenalta, you will design and implement robust backend systems, ensure applications are secure, scalable, and efficient, and work closely with DevOps and frontend teams. You will leverage AWS cloud services and Kubernetes, manage infrastructure as code using Terraform or AWS CDK, and monitor systems with Grafana and Loki. Base pay range:

$55,000.00/yr - $100,000.00/yr Location

This is a fully remote position; however, candidates must be based in regions that align with the Pacific, Central, or Eastern U.S. time zones to ensure effective collaboration with client and team schedules. Responsibilities

Backend Development: Build, maintain, and optimize backend systems using Python and integrate with cloud services on AWS. Cloud Infrastructure Management: Design and deploy AWS infrastructure using EC2, Lambda, RDS, S3 with a focus on scalability and security. Kubernetes Orchestration: Manage containerized applications using Kubernetes, ensuring proper scaling, load balancing, and orchestration. Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Use Terraform or AWS CDK to automate infrastructure provisioning and management. Monitoring & Logging: Implement monitoring and logging solutions with Grafana and Loki to ensure reliability and performance. Collaboration: Work with DevOps, frontend, and product teams to deliver cohesive, scalable, and secure applications. Automation & Optimization: Automate workflows and optimize infrastructure and application performance for low latency and high availability. Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in backend development with cloud-native applications. Proficiency in Python for backend services and scripting tasks. Extensive experience with AWS core services (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS). Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes for container orchestration and microservices management. Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools such as Grafana and Loki. Proven experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK. Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex issues. Strong communication and collaboration skills, with experience working in cross-functional teams. Preferred Qualifications

AWS Certifications (Solutions Architect, Developer, or SysOps) are a plus. Experience with CI/CD pipelines for automated deployment and testing.
