EHS Manager
to join their team on site in Oxford, OH. This is a 12+ month contract to hire on W2 offering a full benefits package. Responsibilities
Leads and promotes a SAFE First Culture. Assures the facility is in compliance with safety and environmental programs, regulations and company policy. Performs job hazard analysis to identify loss potential of systems and processes and recommends corrective actions. Reviews location standards, policies and practices to ensure they are current and aligned with company and regulatory requirements. Works with Safety Manager to revise as necessary. Trains associates, supervisors and other employees in general safety and environmental awareness, program requirements and job requirements. Works with Safety Manager to create training programs. Maintains required records, prepares reports and files to meet corporate and regulatory requirements. Conducts warehouse safety and environmental inspections. Organizes and coordinates emergency response. Conducts ergonomics assessments and implements solutions. Organizes and leads the safety committee. Leads job safety analysis and hazard assessment. Coordinates accident investigation and reporting. Facilitates ISO 45001 and ISO 14001. Promotes a culture of zero incidents and values human resources. Required Skills & Experience
Bachelor’s degree required. 1-3+ years of experience in safety & environmental or engineering role. Work schedule is Monday - Thursday 12pm - 8pm. Knowledge of ISO 14000 & OHSAS standards. Knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and OH DEP regulations. Accident investigation experience. Experience with job safety analysis process. Intermediate working knowledge of Microsoft Office and general databases/web based applications. You Will Be Doing
Supervisory/leadership role with safety engineering knowledge; ability to think on their feet and demonstrate strong problem solving; understanding of plant/factory roles and how they function together. Lead and promote a safe work culture. Ensure facility compliance with safety and environmental programs, regulations and company policy. Perform job hazard analysis and recommend corrective actions. Review location standards and practices; collaborate to keep them current with company and regulatory requirements. Train associates and supervisors in general safety and program requirements; work with Safety Manager to create training programs. Maintain records and prepare reports to meet corporate and regulatory requirements. Conduct safety and environmental inspections in the warehouse. Organize and lead emergency response when needed. Organize and conduct ergonomics assessments and implement solutions. Organize and lead the safety committee and hazard assessments. Coordinate accident investigation and reporting. Support ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 implementations. Promote a culture of zero incidents and strong value on human resources. Benefits
