Your Role
We are seeking an energetic individual interested in supporting and growing a variety of existing challenging projects. The successful candidate will work closely with Principal and Project Engineers, Scientists, and other Project Managers on a variety of environmental, mining, and water resource projects related to groundwater, water quality, permitting, mitigation, remediation, and restoration. The successful candidate will apply a strong educational background and technical experience on projects requiring applied hydrogeologic expertise, to develop cost-effective solutions for water resources, mining, and environmental contamination projects. The position requires strong analytical, problem solving, and communication skills. We are looking for an enthusiastic and personable individual with an eye for detail and a desire to work collaboratively with a growing multi-disciplinary and high performing team. The role will also involve mentorship of junior level staff which will include direct management and growth of their careers here at Tetra Tech.
Required Qualifications
BS degree in Hydrogeology, Geology, or closely related field required. 25+ years of experience in environmental remediation. Experience in geochemistry, hydrogeology, and hydrology, alternatives analysis, conceptual model development, technical review of numerical groundwater models, impacts modeling, aquifer testing, well design, Aquifer Protection Permitting, stakeholder and agency engagement, preparation of technical specifications, and environmental data collection of surface and ground water. Experience managing scopes of work and budgets required. Excellent written and verbal communication, organization of complex information, cross-discipline coordination, and time management. Demonstrated ability delivering effective presentations to customers and management in field of expertise. Candidate must have a valid driver’s license.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with business development and marketing are also considered a valuable asset but are not the focus of this role. Ability to attend seminars and conferences to expand technical background, meet with existing clients and potential new clients on behalf of Tetra Tech.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 25 pounds occasionally. Frequent periods of time sitting or standing at a desk and using a computer. Occasional periods of time walking, lifting, and bending. Ability to travel outside of Phoenix, Arizona for field work up to 20% of the year.
Work Environment / Environmental Factors
This position may have a hybrid work arrangement (3 days in office, 2 days remote), but the candidate must reside within 25 miles of the local Phoenix, AZ office. Occasionally working outside in various weather conditions and environmental factors. Occasionally traveling to client or project sites as needed.
Additional Information
Full-time, Monday through Friday work schedule (40 hours). Occasionally extended hours may be required based on project and/or client needs. Based out of local Phoenix, AZ office with potential of a hybrid work schedule; this arrangement is subject to review and may change at the company’s discretion.
