Role Summary As the Commodity Sourcing Senior Manager for Clothes Care & Kitchen Clean-Up, you will lead sourcing strategies for finished products representing over $400M in annual spend. In this highly visible role, you will shape supplier partnerships, drive cost competitiveness, and ensure long-term supply chain resilience. You’ll serve as a trusted expert in commodities, market trends, and supplier negotiations—partnering across product management, engineering, fulfillment, and quality to bring innovative products to market on time and on budget.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership – Develop and execute sourcing strategies for Clothes Care & Kitchen Clean-Up finished goods, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Cost & Performance Accountability – Deliver against all GEA sourcing metrics, including material cost take-out (MCTO), NPI cost targets, and supply performance.
Supplier Management – Lead supplier relationships, issue RFQs, and negotiate product costs and supply agreements to achieve cost and schedule commitments.
New Product Introduction (NPI) – Drive sourcing ownership for NPIs from concept through launch, leveraging Lean principles to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery.
Cost-Out Initiatives – Champion cost-reduction projects across finished goods and global programs to meet or exceed cost commitments.
Capacity & Risk Management – Assess supplier capacity, tooling requirements, and long-term demand readiness.
Cross-Functional Collaboration – Partner with program managers to track NPI cost/schedule estimates, resolve supplier-related issues, and represent sourcing in program reviews and change boards.
Operational Excellence – Lead resolution of supplier issues, manage Business Change Notices, and oversee supplier quality escalations including FCR and concession billbacks.
Requirements Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree
7+ years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, program management, or commodity management
Proven track record in supplier negotiations, international supplier management, and contract execution
Experience leading NPIs, product transitions, and managing excess/obsolescence
Strong analytical and project management skills with the ability to turn complexity into action
Excellent communicator, skilled at building relationships and influencing across functions
Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
Ability to travel 20% domestic and/or international travel
Preferred Qualifications:
Six Sigma, Lean, or equivalent certification
Global sourcing experience, particularly in sourced products
Experience leading global supply chains and cross-functional teams
