Overview
Facilitate the highest supply chain efficiency from supplier to store shelf, with lowest shelf delivered cost. Monitor and streamline procedures for production, purchasing, product configuration, warehousing, distribution and financial forecasting. Direct the movement, storage and processing of inventory with focus on most efficient levels for the entire Kroger supply chain. Perform all jobs safely, efficiently and accurately to maintain and improve the performance of the plant in the areas of Safety, Quality, Reliability (SQR) and our Customer 1st strategy. Minimum Bachelor's Degree in logistics or a related field 4+ years of supply chain management experience in the food industry Strong planning, organizational, and prioritizing skills Proficient Microsoft Office skills Effective oral and written communication skills Ability to foster collaborative working relationships Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills Ability to synthesize complex information, identify data relationships and dependencies, and design workflows and procedures Desired 6+ years of related experience in the food industry dealing with supply chain management Understanding of integrated planning systems; MRP and DRP Strong background in food processing and packaging; stay current on improvements and technologies within planning and materials management Supervise and coach direct reports; complete performance reviews and provide feedback Network with Kroger material supply managers to incorporate best practices Partner with merchandising and sales planning to optimize production and procurement activity for customer requirements Master PRISM inventory control software and advocate its use for inventory accuracy Manage ordering of all ingredients, packaging materials and all purchased finished goods Manage production scheduling to optimize customer service, working capital and reliability Develop processes to foster continuous improvement and accountability Help establish and manage finished goods and raw material budgets Coordinate production for all new products Manage inventory and supply of outsourced finished goods Provide timely projections to buyers; inform Marketing on slow-moving items Follow programs and practices to produce safe, quality foods meeting regulatory and company requirements Support SQF Systems development and maintenance Accountable to Kroger Manufacturing Food Safety and Quality Principles Must be able to work around ingredients and/or finished products containing allergens Must be able to perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodation Seniority level
