Job Overview The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in the Dental Hygiene Program.
Essential Functions
Instruction in classroom teaching courses such as but not limited to Clinical Practicum and Advanced Instrumentation
Laboratory instruction in Local Anesthesia, Dental Materials and Radiography to educate students using practice models and patients
Clinical instruction teaching students to treat patients in the UC Blue Ash Dental Hygiene Clinic by assessing patient needs and providing dental hygiene care (e.g., cleanings, cancer screenings, periodontal treatment, radiographs, oral hygiene instruction)
Professional/scholarly activities related to the profession (e.g., membership/leadership in dental hygiene associations, pedagogy/dentistry presentations, publications in journals)
Service on department, college, and university committees; involvement in community outreach initiatives
Minimum Requirements
Master's Degree in a health-related field, or Master's degree in Education
Valid Ohio Dental Hygiene License
Valid Ohio local anesthesia certificate
One (1) academic year of teaching experience in a dental hygiene program within the past five (5) years, in didactic, laboratory, or clinical settings
Two (2) years of clinical practice experience as a dental hygienist
