Blue Mountain
Overview
Our customers in the Life Science Industry create innovative medicines, therapies, and devices to improve their patients\' quality of life. Our software supports improved efficiency, collaboration, and regulatory compliance, which allows them to focus their resources on their patients. As a Database Developer at Blue Mountain Quality Resources, you will be instrumental in designing, developing, and maintaining the database infrastructure that powers Blue Mountain RAM (Regulatory Asset Manager), our industry-leading asset management solution for FDA-regulated environments. You\'ll work with a complex, multi-tenant SQL Server architecture that supports pharmaceutical, biotech, and medical device companies worldwide in their mission-critical calibration and asset management operations. Responsibilities
Database Design & Architecture: Design and implement database schemas that support complex business processes for FDA-regulated environments; create and maintain database objects: tables, views, stored procedures, functions, triggers, and indexes; architect multi-tenant database solutions ensuring data isolation and performance; design data models that support calibration workflows, audit trails, and regulatory compliance; implement database partitioning and archival strategies for long-term data retention. Development & Integration: Write optimized T-SQL for data access, business logic, and reporting; develop and maintain Entity Framework models and migrations; build reusable database components and libraries for the development team; integrate multiple data sources and ensure data consistency across systems; implement data migration scripts and SSIS packages for customer onboarding. Performance & Optimization: Optimize database queries and stored procedures for maximum performance; design and implement indexing strategies for large-scale data sets; monitor and tune database performance for multi-tenant environments; implement caching strategies and optimize data access patterns; scale database solutions to support growing customer loads. Security & Compliance: Implement role-based security and data access controls; design and maintain audit trails for FDA 21 CFR Part 11 compliance; ensure data encryption at rest and in transit; implement data protection and privacy controls for multi-tenant architecture; support SOX compliance and regulatory audit requirements. Collaboration & Quality: Write technical specifications for database changes and new features; collaborate with API, MVC, Mobile, and Azure development teams; work closely with Testing, Implementation, and Configuration teams; participate in code reviews and maintain high code quality standards; document database schemas, procedures, and architectural decisions. Essential & Required Skills and Qualifications
