Lockheed Martin seeks an innovative and talented Mechanical Systems Integrator to join the Global Security team in Denver, Colorado. Responsibilities
Establish and maintain spacecraft hardware configuration and interfaces across the vehicle Lead and perform technical analysis of complex system problems and develop solutions Lead mechanical integration, test planning, and test execution Find and drive opportunities for build flow and test efficiencies Ensure end‑to‑end compatibility of mechanical interfaces throughout the spacecraft, including pointing and alignment budgets Develop and maintain the mechanical configuration model and internal missile mechanical Interface Control Documents (ICDs) Lead studies and system trades for enhanced capabilities Participate in and coordinate design reviews and technical product reviews Lead and participate in failure investigations and anomaly resolution boards Basic Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent experience/combined education Knowledge and application of Systems Integration functions, including one or more of:
System trade studies and/or System modeling Requirements and Interface Control Document (ICD) development System Integration, Test and/or Verification Test planning and execution with understanding of all interdependencies
Experience with hardware development at component, subsystem, or system level System design and test experience with one or more subsystems or fields outside Systems Engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Propulsion, RF, Software, etc.) Active or current Top Secret security clearance with eligibility for SCI – T5 investigation required Desired Skills
Ability to operate in a dynamic environment and take on multiple roles as part of daily program operations Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong social skills, and ability to build consensus among peers and with leadership and customers Proficiency in Geometric Tolerancing and Dimensioning (GD&T) Mechanical design experience, including releasing drawings and CAD proficiency (I‑DEAS, Creo, etc.) Experience ensuring physical and functional compatibility of hardware products throughout the life cycle of the program Experience defining and documenting system mechanical interfaces Experience authoring and verifying requirements Ability to interact with hardware CPEs and designers to satisfy mission requirements Proven track record of good judgment and programmatic execution while balancing schedules and budget obligations Ability to drive coordinated resolution of issues across multiple work locations and organizational structures Recognized authority in systems thinking techniques, able to apply and teach them to others Background as Responsible Systems Engineer (RSE), Certified Principal Engineer (CPE) or Delegate Engineering Material Review Board (EMRB) certified Prior experience with firm fixed‑price contracts and Class C programs Experience with MBSE in DOORS and Cameo Active or current TS/SCI with T5 investigation Security Clearance
This position requires a U.S. government security clearance; applicant must be a U.S. citizen. The required clearance level is TS/SCI. Location and Schedule
Denver, Colorado – First shift, Full‑time. Schedule: 9x80 with alternate Fridays off. Compensation & Benefits
Annual base salary range: $89,300 – $157,550 (varies by location). Incentive plan eligible.
