Position Summary The SAP EWM Solution Architect will lead the design and architecture of SAP Extended Warehouse Management EWM solutions across pilot and rollout phases. This role is critical in ensuring scalable efficient and integrated warehouse operations aligned with business goals and technical standards.
Location and Availability Nashville, TN – Hybrid 2 days at least at client location
Candidate should work from Nashville, Tennessee and should be able to travel and accommodate other states – NY, NC & WI in USA where the mills are located, as required, during the course of the project.
Key Responsibilities
Define and validate the overall SAP EWM architecture including integration with ECC 6 EHP7 and MES systems
Architect RF enabled processes for receiving, put away, internal moves and shipping
Ensure bin-level tracking of serialized units, FG, WIP and support mobile RF infrastructure readiness
Integration Technical Oversight:
Collaborate with EWM Technical Architects and Automation Integration Consultants to ensure seamless system connectivity
Oversee basic MES integration and ensure no disruption to existing yard management systems (Uber Freight Vector)
Guide ABAP consultants on custom developments and enhancements
Project Enablement Governance:
Support stakeholder alignment and project governance setup
Ensure readiness of master and transactional data for migration
Contribute to training and enablement for warehouse leads and end users
Implementation Support:
Provide architectural leadership during pilot implementations (e.g., Bath NY) and rollouts (e.g., Green Bay WI, Roaring River NC)
Validate infrastructure prerequisites including WiFi offline sync capabilities and mobile RF devices
Ensure finalization of inventory load, label readiness and role assignments before go-live
Required Skills and Experience
Proven experience as a Solution Architect in SAP EWM implementations
Deep understanding of ECC 6 EHP7 architecture and EWM functional flows
Experience with RF technologies, MES integration and warehouse automation
Strong stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to lead technical teams and ensure delivery within defined timelines and budgets
