– Philadelphia office. The firm specializes in living, learning, and healing environments with offices in North Carolina, Virginia, Kentucky, and Pennsylvania. We are seeking a highly skilled registered Project Architect with a minimum of 10 years’ experience to join our Philadelphia office. In this role, you will lead the development and technical execution of medium to large-scale projects in senior living, education, healthcare, and government sectors. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong design and technical skills, leadership in project coordination, and a passion for crafting environments that enhance lives. Key Responsibilities
Design & Technical Leadership: Oversee the architectural design development process from schematic design through construction documentation and administration. Translate conceptual design into coordinated, buildable solutions that support design intent and meet performance criteria. Documentation & Detailing: Lead the creation and coordination of construction documents, specifications, and technical details. Ensure documentation complies with applicable codes, zoning regulations, ADA requirements, and internal QA standards. Project Coordination: Collaborate with internal design teams and external consultants—including structural, MEP, civil, and specialty disciplines—to ensure integration of all project elements. Monitor progress to align with client goals and deadlines. Construction Administration: Manage construction phase services including RFI responses, submittal reviews, site visits, and field reports. Advocate for design integrity throughout project execution. Client & Team Engagement: Participate in client meetings, presentations, and project interviews. Communicate design ideas effectively and ensure client feedback is integrated throughout all phases. Project Management Support: Support Project Managers in planning work effort, estimating time required for tasks, and staying within project scope and budget. Identify and communicate potential risks or deviations early in the process. Software Proficiency: Demonstrate fluency in Revit, AutoCAD, and other essential tools including Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, Newforma, and Microsoft Office. Assist junior staff in the development and technical use of these platforms. Qualifications
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture from an accredited institution Professional registration as a licensed Architect Minimum 10+ years of professional architectural experience, ideally in senior living, healthcare, education, or government projects Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Suite, and Newforma Strong knowledge of building codes, detailing, construction methods, and documentation standards Excellent collaboration, organizational, and communication skills Passion for high-quality, purpose-driven design and technical excellence What We Offer
