Payload Test Engineer for Satellite Company
Long term contract / freelance opportunity to join an industry‑leading client in the communications sector. The role of the Payload Test Engineer will be to contribute to our client’s greenfield project, providing next‑generation communication and internet connectivity services to governmental users, private sector commercial companies, and traditionally low‑connectivity zones.
Responsibilities
Translate payload architecture specifications into system and subsystem testing requirements.
Drive payload calibration strategies and define/manage mechanical, electrical, and thermal interfaces for payload subsystem suppliers.
Receive payload/electronic hardware from the client’s partner company, test and integrate it, and create the test environment for the payload equipment.
Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years’ experience in satellite payload or systems engineering.
Hands‑on experience in laboratory, field, or in‑orbit testing of communication systems.
Right to work in the US without sponsorship; security clearance required.
