Location: Chicago, IL Job Description: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee tenant improvements and buildout projects across a national footprint. This role requires exceptional communication skills, multitasking capabilities, and the ability to manage project lifecycles from kickoff through closeout. The ideal candidate is organized, client-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced commercial real estate environment. Responsibilities
Manage timelines, budgets, and milestones for multiple tenant improvement and buildout projects simultaneously Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned projects, ensuring transparent and timely communication with clients, contractors, vendors, and internal stakeholders Lead project kickoff meetings, weekly construction calls, and site review walk-throughs Coordinate pre-construction planning, delivery schedules, vendor alignments, and project execution Leverage internal tools (including proprietary software such as VisionTrack) and third-party platforms (e.g., Jobplanner) to manage project data and workflows Ensure timely documentation of all project updates, milestones, and communication logs Collaborate with Transaction Managers, Site Evaluation Specialists, and Account Managers to ensure seamless execution Monitor contractor adherence to agreed scope, timelines, and budgetary constraints Provide detailed reporting and updates to clients and internal leadership Travel to project locations for walk-throughs, kickoff meetings, and client-facing site visits as required Qualifications
Bachelor\'s degree in a related field Proven experience as a Project Manager Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Experience with national retail or franchise tenant buildouts Familiarity with lease terms and tenant coordination Understanding of permitting, landlord coordination, and timeline risk mitigation Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively Seniority level
