The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS) and the Enterprise Risk Management Office (ERMO) are seeking an exceptional, dynamic and highly capable team player to hit the ground running. Your technical knowledge and skills working with Industrial Insurance claims will be key to your success. You should be adaptable, dependable, and able to apply critical thinking and deductive reasoning. As an Industrial Insurance Consultant, you\'ll work in collaboration with the Department of Labor and Industries, medical providers, the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals, and all DSHS administrations and programs to address and resolve industrial injury claim-related issues. Responsibilities

Serve as the department’s designee on industrial insurance claims, ensuring compliance with laws, policies, and collective bargaining agreements. Manage a caseload of approximately 100 workers’ compensation claims, including intake, adjudication, monitoring, and timely resolution. Review and determine eligibility for assault benefits, participate in settlement negotiations, and contribute to program improvement initiatives. Coordinate return-to-work efforts by collaborating with employees, supervisors, medical providers, vocational counselors, and L&I. Provide training, consultation, and guidance to managers and supervisors on injury claims and transitional return-to-work policies. Develop job analyses and light duty job descriptions. Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree. Demonstrated experience in insurance claim management such as industrial, commercial, medical, and private insurance services, etc. Note: Certification as a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor or Certified Disability Management Specialist or the ability to obtain one once employed.
