Overview
Greater Cincinnati Water Works is hiring a Senior Computer Programmer Analyst with expertise in meter-to-cash application support and integrations, as well as Power BI report development. The role requires delivering exceptional customer service to internal and external stakeholders, collaborating on project teams, and communicating effectively across all organizational levels. Responsibilities
Provide professional, technical, and analytical support for enterprise, client/server, and desktop computer systems and networks. Assist in analyzing data processing needs for city agencies; participate in design, testing, and implementation of systems. Perform network design, implementation, maintenance, and data/database analysis/administration; modify existing computer applications as required. Develop Power BI reports and support related data visualization needs. Collaborate with project teams and communicate across organizational levels to ensure successful delivery of systems and services. Qualifications
Educational requirements: Either Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university with a major in computer science, information technology, computer programming, criminal justice, geography or a related field, and one year of professional paid work experience performing work similar to the Examples of Work Performed; OR 45-quarter credit hours from an accredited college or university with 30 credits in computer science, information technology, and/or computer programming, and two years of professional paid work experience performing work similar to the Examples of Work Performed. Certification substitution: A certification program (e.g., Novell or Windows NT engineer) may substitute for one year of paid work experience; other certifications will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. Technical knowledge and skills (examples include): Principles of computer data processing and enterprise/server/desktops systems; programming languages (Java, C, C++, Visual Basic, etc.); database administration (Oracle, SQL); web technologies (HTML, JavaScript); GIS concepts (where applicable). Other requirements: Must have a valid driver's license for some positions; some roles may require criminal background investigation and fingerprinting; may be required to work irregular hours and be on-call. Work Environment & Other Information
Environment: Office setting with potential travel to sites within City/Hamilton County. Physical conditions: Ability to sit/stand for prolonged periods; operate assigned vehicle as required.
