We are recruiting a Senior Accountant for a growing company in the RTP area. Reporting to the Controller, this role offers a steady rhythm of core accounting work—month‑end close, reconciliations, and reporting—along with exposure to special projects, process improvements, and cross‑functional initiatives. You'll be part of a collaborative team with room for growth.

Responsibilities

Lead monthly and annual closing activities, including preparation and review of reconciliations, journal entries, and supporting schedules.

Oversee fixed asset tracking and lifecycle accounting, including disposals and amortization.

Process payroll through an external provider and ensure proper capture of related liabilities and reconciliations.

Manage employee reimbursements and corporate card activity, ensuring timely submission and proper coding.

Maintain customer billing records, initiate invoices, and respond to client questions related to account activity.

Assist in the setup and review of customer agreements within financial systems to ensure compliance with company policy and revenue guidelines.

Research and monitor multi‑state registration and compliance obligations; maintain records and coordinate filings with third‑party agents.

Prepare required reporting packages and support external reviews including audits and tax‑related engagements.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA required for this role.

Minimum 3 years of accounting experience.

Comfort working with large data sets in spreadsheets.

Experience with ERP systems and exposure to integrated tools used for payroll, expense, or compliance workflows is ideal.
