THE ROLE OLIPOP is searching for an Area Sales Manager to join our team and represent us in Sacramento, preferably based in Sacramento County. This position focuses on impact in the field built on strong relationships. Our fast-turning product is distributed through a range of retailers in the NorCal region, including Whole Foods, Sprouts, Target, Walmart, Safeway, and regional/independent retailers. You will prioritize your time to focus on high-impact areas, work with and inspire our DSD partners and third-party sales resources to deliver a value greater than the sum of its parts, open new doors, and build on high velocities in the market. Responsibilities Deliver on monthly volume and distribution goals and achieve overall market objectives. Support partnerships with distributors, food brokers, and retailers in Sacramento County and surrounding areas. Conduct weekly route rides with DSD partners and food brokers; identify opportunities for underperforming accounts and routes. Monitor inventory and proper use of POS materials. Follow through on commitments with distributor management, sales personnel, and trade. Assist Regional Sales Manager in distributor management meetings by providing well-documented reports on distribution, display, and sales by distributor. Implement and execute incentive programs to guide distributor organizations toward sales objectives. Manage chain retailers: new item launches and retail programs. Gain additional placement within accounts, including secondary POS and cooler placement. Collaborate with field-marketing teams to create comprehensive marketing plans to profitably increase market share. Role requires an estimated 40% travel. Qualifications Deeply passionate about OLIPOP and able to represent the brand values. Strong understanding of customer behavior and how to reach and understand our consumers. Enthusiastic and comfortable working in an early-stage company; able to think rapidly in a growing and changing environment. Ability to take initiative and work autonomously from start to finish. Works well with ambiguity and asks the right questions to get to solutions. Strong planning, organization, and project management skills, with excellent interpersonal, written/oral communication and presentation abilities. Competence in Google Suite and Microsoft Office; experience with Slack and Zoom preferred. Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends. Clean driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of insurance. Physical Requirements / Working Conditions : Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
