Smart Prep Automotive is looking to expand our team. We are looking for a professional auto detailer and polisher. Our company needs a team member capable of thorough auto details as well as someone who is knowledgeable of the collision industry and the finish work side. An experienced polisher who knows their way around a detail department is preferred. Our clients often ask for special detail services including paint correction, stain removal, and water spot removal. A job candidate should know how to complete these tasks, the chemicals to use, and the steps to take. Compensation is hourly and based on knowledge and skill.

Job Summary
We are looking for a hard-working Car Detailer and Polisher to join our team. As a Car Detailer, you will provide thorough vehicle cleaning services, including washing and buffing exteriors and thorough detailing of interiors. You will be responsible for providing excellent customer service and ensuring repeat business. As a Car Polisher, you will not only polish customer vehicles as part of a detail service, but also polish vehicles out of the paint shop, correcting for FM and other paint issues. The Car Detailer and Polisher must be capable of work that meets our company’s high standards and the standards of our valued customers.
Responsibilities
Perform vehicle inspections pre and post-detailing
Wash and Detail both wholesale and retail vehicles with the ability to understand the difference of requirements
Assess vehicles that have come out of paint for any FM, Runs, or other paint imperfections
Polish vehicles that have been recently painted
Assess vehicles for cosmetic damage beyond the usual that will require extra attention
Provide labor and time estimates for automotive repairs
Able to detail cars to wholesale specifications in a FAST AND EFFICIENT MANNER!!!!
Clean the interiors and exteriors of vehicles using approved products and procedures
Fulfill customer requests and respond to inquiries regarding car detailing
Qualifications
Previous experience as a Car Detailer is required
High level of attention to detail. Clean work area is a must!
Knowledge of detailing, buffing, scratch removal, and de-nibing
Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position, including extended periods of walking, bending, and standing
Strict adherence to company policies and service standards
