About The Position Job Title: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Profession: Cardiac Cath Lab Tech Specialty: Cardiac Cath Lab Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 07:00 - 16:30 Hours per Shift: 9 Experience: Minimum 1 year License: RCIS, ARRT, CVT Certifications: Must have one of the following: RCIS, ARRT, CVT Description: Unit Profile: Number of labs: 3 Number of cases daily: 15 Type of equipment: GE x-ray Documentation system: Maclab, Meditech Scheduling requirements: 6-8 call days monthly including at least 1 weekend Patient experience requirements: Cath lab experience Requested Skill Set: Cath lab experience Advanced skills needed: Emergency medication knowledge Procedures performed on unit: LHC, RLHC, PCI, TAVR, PPM, Impella, IABP, PFO, Cardiomems, Peripherals Dress Code: Scrubs provided Unit Guidelines/Policies: Cath Lab On Call Staffing Purpose is to establish guidelines for efficient response to emergency procedures. Scope includes team members with relevant qualifications. Call team members are on call 24/7 on a rotational basis to cover necessary or emergent procedures. Call team members have 30 minutes to arrive once notified. All staff must take call on a rotational basis. Schedule is determined by the coordinator and distributed monthly. If contacted for an emergent procedure, staff must respond within specified times. Staff is required to ensure availability by providing two contact methods. If unable to reach a staff member, the operator will call for further direction. Documentation of the call schedule is distributed monthly. Any changes to the schedule must be properly noted. Awards/Recognition: Prospective candidates should be aware of department awards and recognition. Consider new equipment, technology, and schedule options as attractive features. General Comments: The facility is known for a supportive management style and emphasis on teamwork. Staff appreciate the excellent work-life balance and a friendly work environment.
